Marching for Pride & Life

Two months ago, I started this artwork due to my frustration over two factors: the growth of anti-LGBTQ bigotry and discriminatory legislations against LGBTQ folks in the U.S., and the unjustified and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine lead by the madman dictator Putin. What Putin and his puppets did was the event that burst that bubble, so I had to vent all that anger of these events through drawing, illustrating every group into animals (and a few cameos of artist friends). I tend to avoid talking or creating around politics, but this was an extraordinary exception where my art could be used for a cause. I poured my free evenings and my passion to its exhaustion.
I express my sincere thoughts and support to the LGBTQ folks in the U.S. being targeted for just being themselves, for just existing, and to the nation of Ukraine - including its queer civilians and soldiers - suffering casualties and defending bravely to an unprovoked unjustified bloody invasion. Here they are marching for their rights to live and to live in peace!
I could have drawn both groups separated, into two different artworks, but this is how I envisioned my artwork and I simply didn't want to make a compromise so I took a risk going along with it, making it stand out from other artworks, for the better or worse.
